Metropolitan Celebrates the season with Holiday Reception and "Get Your Tree On" Main Street Event
Event Reception on Dec. 4; Food Bank Donations To Be Collected, Gift Baskets To Be Won, Sale On Throughout Event!
Metropolitan Furniture will be participating in the Main Street “Get Your Tree On” Event, an independent community-organized celebration that encourages friends and family in the Main Street area to come out and enjoy a new seasonal tradition. Metropolitan Furniture, along with other participating businesses on Main Street, will be decorating uniquely designed trees, which will be voted on by holiday shoppers. The event takes place from December 4-12, 2009, with a reception launch on Friday, December 4th.
Voters will be entered to win one of two prize packages, consisting of donations from the businesses. To give back to the community, food boxes for a local food bank at St. Michael’s Church on Broadway will be set up at Metropolitan Furniture and each participating business.
Metropolitan Furniture, and each participating business, will be hosting a reception on Friday December 4th. The store is inviting the community to come visit the store, view the holiday decor and enjoy some refreshments. Everyone is invited to select their favourite tree and enter the draw for one of two gift baskets by voting online at www.shopmain.ca, or at a ballot box located at Re-Entry Espresso (4363 Main).
